1 General FDA & Facility Registrations

An FDA Food Facility Registration Number (FFRN) is mandatory for foreign facilities that manufacture, process, pack, or hold food for US consumption, unless an exemption applies. FDA Registration Guide ↗

DUNS is a 9-digit business identifier issued by Dun & Bradstreet. It is different from an FDA registration number or FEI.

A US Agent is a US-based contact for FDA communications. This role is different from your sales agent or the US importer.

2 Low-Acid Canned Food (LACF) & Beverage Processing

Food Canning Establishment (FCE) registration applies to facilities processing covered low-acid canned foods (LACF), which can include hermetically sealed aseptic packs. Product acidity, process and storage conditions matter; packaging alone does not determine applicability. FDA FCE Guide ↗

3 Food Safety Management & Certifications

A PCQI is a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual who develops or oversees a food-safety plan. Requirements and exemptions depend on your activities, including applicable Juice HACCP rules; choose Not sure if you need help.
